**We all know that this year will be a little different.**

According to recent research, ecommerce will become an even more important channel for retailers.

[Google](https://www.google.co.uk/) recently found that the holidays, particularly the Christmas period, will see online sales rapidly increase. In 2019 **71% of UK seasonal shoppers** went online to do their end of year shopping, this year, online sales are set to reach £78.9bn by the end of year, up by 8% on last year.

With the shopping channel focus shifting, retailers need to adapt to ensure that their marketing strategy is in-line with the more online savvy customer by targeting the right people at the right time whilst making more long term changes that ensure your business thrives in years to come.

It is becoming increasingly clear that multi-channel marketing will be the best way to serve customers as purchase decisions become less straightforward, not only will this spread a message further afield but will cover a higher range of demographics.
